New geo-surveying plane unveiled
Fugro Airborne Surveys is unveiling their new geo-surveying plane – identical to the one that crashed on a Saskatoon street back in April — before it takes to the sky.
“We've decided that after three months we should get back operational again,” said Terry McConnell, the managing director for Fugro.
McConnell says they've tried to address any tangible safety issues with the plane, including modifying emergency response procedures in case of an engine failure.
However, he said it's not an easy task considering investigators still aren't completely sure what caused the crash that killed a Fugro employee from Ontario, 47-year-old Iaroslav Gorokhovski.
