Yellow Grass residents keep close eye on weather

Watching the forecast has become a serious task for the town of Yellow Grass.

In Yellow Grass in the 1930s, 45 C was recorded as the hottest Canadian temperature ever.

Mickey Quigley is the town foreman. He says it’s a far cry from today with people now on the lookout for rain.

“When I see anything more than a 25 millimetre rain, I start planning,” he said.
