Sixteen people are facing charges following two massive, multi-agency drug investigation in southern Saskatchewan.

A three-week project in Yorkton targeted street and mid-level drug traffickers caught with marijuana, crack cocaine and Ritalin.

Five adults and one youth were charged with trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime and theft.

They all appeared in Yorkton court Tuesday afternoon.

A much longer drug investigation in Estevan also resulted in a series of arrests.

More than 40 charges have been laid against 10 adults, all from Estevan, with the exception of one woman from Regina.

Searches turned up marijuana, ecstasy, firearms and brass knuckles.

Those charged in Estevan will appear in court Wednesday morning.

RCMP say they expect more charges to be laid.
