Little Red to open Friday

There is good news for fans of Prince Albert’s parks.

Little Red River Park along with Cosmo Lodge is set to reopen on Friday, in time for Canada Day celebrations.

The City of Prince Albert is urging people to be cautious when they are using the park, asking them to stay away from the edge of the river at all times.

The park was initially closed after water levels rose to the point where they were dangerous to public safety.

The flooding came after rains in Edmonton caused water levels along the North Saskatchewan to rise more than 2.5 meters higher than usual.
