UPDATE: Yorkton police make arrest in homicide

Yorkton police have made an arrest in the murder of Jimmy Ray Wiebe.

Kyle Braeden Furness, 20, was arrested Thursday at 5 p.m. by RCMP and has been charged with first degree murder.

Wiebe, 50, was killed this week at the gas station where he worked.

Thursday night, about 200 people in Yorkton gathered to remember Wiebe who was a popular, well-known person in town.

Furness has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to make his first appearance in Yorkton Provincial Court on Monday.
