The Cumberland House Contemporary Art Collaboration

The Cumberland House Contemporary Art Collaboration is a visual and media art project that took place in the Saskatchewan community of Cumberland House. The project came out of a partnership between Charlebois School, the community of Cumberland House, Common Weal Community Arts, and Red Shift Gallery in Saskatoon.
In June 2010, Saskatchewan based artists came to Cumberland House to create collaborative paintings and short videos with about 45 participants, mostly teens but including all ages.
September 2010 to January 2011 this project continued to bring foremost artists in the fields to introduce video production and visual arts to the community. One weekend a month professional artists brought workshops to families at the Cumberland House Activity Centre.
An exhibition of pieces that resulted from these workshops will be on display in the
John V. Hicks Gallery
From June 17th- July 5th, 2011.

We will be having a Reception:
July 4th 2011, from 1:00 pm till 3:00 pm.
At the John V. Hicks Gallery in the Prince Albert Arts Centre
Located 1010 Central Avenue.
