A rainfall warning has been issued by Environment Canada for Saskatoon, Moose Jaw and southern Saskatchewan.

A rainfall warning is being issued for an area that stretches from Saskatoon, to Martensville, over to Wakaw. It also includes Moose Jaw, Watrous, and Assiniboia, Meadow Lake, Big River, Green Lake, Pierceland, Shellbrook, Spiritwood, Prince Albert, Duck Lake, Craik, Central Butte, Outlook, and Pense.

Warning Preparedness Meteorologist for Saskatchewan Greg Walters is tracking a slow moving system over these areas.

“We are going to be seeing, rainfall, it's going to be variable. But amounts in excess of 50 millimetres are possible in heavy downpours, and thunderstorms,” said Walters.
