Jared Gill, from Prince Albert, was selected as the Scotiabank Kid Captain for the Roughriders in Friday’s first preseason game.

Along with tickets to the game, Gill had the opportunity to go on the field, stand with the players for anthem, go to centre field for the coin toss and head into the locker room after the game to have his jersey signed.

The Riders bead Edmonton 23-22.
