Educational Camps

Our academic camps provide fun and academically rewarding activities for your child that can improve his or her confidence. Camps are taught in small groups by certified teachers so everyone receives individual attention. Our centre is offering summer camps to our community for the first time. MATH SOLVES SCIENCEJuly 11 – 15; 3:00 – 6:00 pm daily; Cost: $150.00 Students will be involved in science projects that will initiate discussion of how math is involved in “doing” the science. (Minimum 5 students needed.) FROM PLAYWRIGHT TO PERFORMERCo-Sponsored with J. M. Cuelenaere Public LibraryJuly 25 – 29; 1:00 – 6:00 pm; Cost $250.00Performance will be held on Friday at 4:30 pm at the Mahon Theatre Admission: FREEStudents will collaboratively write a play, then prepare to perform the play on Friday. (Minimum of 6 students needed.) GOOD READERS = GOOD WRITERSAugust 8 – 12; 3:00 – 6:00 pm daily; Cost $150.00Students will read a variety of genres, choose one and write using grammar and writing skills. (Minimum of 5 students needed.) PRINTING WITHOUT TEARSAugust 22 – 26; 3:00 – 6:00 pm daily; Cost $150.00Students will learn the basics of good printing using the HWT process.(Minimum of 5 students needed.)
