The South Saskatchewan River is rising again as the Gardiner Dam opens up to make room for water coming in from Alberta.
Heavy rainfall in southwestern Alberta means more room is needed at Lake Diefenbaker.
Right now the South Saskatchewan is running at 1,310 cubic metres per second. By Sunday it will be 1,550 cubic metres per second.
Saskatoon deputy fire chief Dan Paulsen said those number are very high.
