Arrest made in Melfort home invasion

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a home invasion in Melfort.

RCMP said a man wearing a mask kicked down a door and threatened several people inside the house with a knife and bear spray. The occupants of the home were between the ages of 17 and 24.

One man suffered minor injuries when he was stabbed in the abdomen. He has since been treated and released from hospital.

The incident occurred at around 10 p.m. Tuesday and the accused was later arrested.

He appeared in Melfort Provincial Court Wednesday and will return to court later this month.
