Saskatoon police investigate sudden death of man

The sudden death of a man in Saskatoon on Tuesday afternoon is not being considered a homicide.

At about 2 p.m., Saskatoon police responded to a report that a deceased male was lying between two buildings in the 400 block of 3rd Avenue North.

News Talk Radio’s Chris Carr was on the scene.

He says the body, covered in a white sheet, was five feet from an apartment building, just off the intersection of 3rd Avenue and 26th Street.

The area that was closed blocked off by police tape has now been reopened to the public.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

The Office of the Chief Coroner is assisting in the investigation.
