Saskatoon and area residents asked to limit water consumption

Jun 14, 2011 | 7:06 AM

If you’re thinking about having a nice hot bath or watering the lawn all Monday night, you might want to reconsider.

The City of Saskatoon has just issued a call for residents to reduce their water consumption.

A piece called the “clarifier” at the water treatment plant is broken. While it's down, the city cannot pump out as much water as usual.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, they hope to have it back up and running in three to four days. Until then, if Saskatoon residents don't keep their water consumption down voluntarily, the city may have to impose mandatory restrictions.
