No new contract for Saskatchewan teachers

Jun 12, 2011 | 8:24 AM

After seven days of mediation, the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation (STF) and the government-trustee bargaining committee have failed to come to an agreement on a new contract.

The case mediator is now preparing a special report that will be submitted to the Minister of Labour Relations Don Morgan.

The report is expected to be finished by the end of the month.

Sandi Urban-Hall, spokesperson for the government’s bargaining committee, said although a deal didn't get done, progress in the negations was made.
