A local woman is being charged with allegedly selling counterfeit items after the Saskatoon Border Integrity Section of the RCMP conducted a search of the business on Central Avenue.

The search was for counterfeit items such as clothing, purses, and jewelry with respect to an intellectual property crimes investigation.

About 450 items that were believed to be counterfeit with an authentic value in excess of $200,000 were seized during the search.

The investigation started in January when the officers received information from the public that a local business was offering brand name articles that appeared counterfeit.
