Parkland Artisans Tour

Jun 4, 2011 | 11:43 AM

Shellbrook and area hosts the annual Parkland Artisan Tour & Sale, Saturday, June 11th and Friday, 12th. Unique aspects of this tour include:

1) 29 artists in 7 locations to reduce driving.

2) New guest artists each year to accommodate patrons who want to attend each year, but also like to see something new.

3) Demonstrations throughout the day. Artists demonstrate how to create the work on display and explain the process. This is an educational opportunity for visitors to the tour.

4)A wide variety of art work. Tour organizers search for guest artists who bring to the tour distinct and unusual art styles.

The tour is kicked off Friday, June 10th by a Hootenany on the Hill. A pottery pit fire is lit at 8 pm on Friday. As the flames soar, an outdoor 'kitchen party' of musicians entertain and delight spectators and for
those wishing to dance, Kerry English will lead the way with lively fiddle
tunes.

Singers will be on site as well as members of Bannock Country.
