Woman sentenced to life in prison for killing husband

Nancy Andres has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in connection with the death of her husband.

On July 17, 2009, Nancy, 39 at the time, stabbed her husband, 46-year-old Kevin Andres, in the heart.

He was found in his home on the 700 block of River Street West suffering from the stab wound and died of his injuries.

The two had been married for more than 20 years.

Nancy was originally charged with first degree murder, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter because of drug consumption that night.
