Fire ban lifted in city limits, still in place at Little Red

The fire ban prohibiting open fires within city limits has been lifted.

According to active fire chief, Joe Zatylny, this means there can be fires in the designated areas at Kinsmen Park and in fire pits on residential properties.

However the ban remains in place at Little Red River Park.

The original fire ban was put into effect May 18, in conjunction with a Ministry of Environment fire ban which covered provincial parks and 53 recreation sites within the Prince Albert area, including Emma Lake and Candle Lakes.

This fire ban has now been lifted south of the North Saskatchewan River.
