Working on their green thumbs

Adeline Gunnarson, with the Community Training Residences, hands a plant to Shane Sasakamoose, one of the residents, in the garden near Holy Cross School.

A few people were on hand to prepare the community garden for this year’s project.

The community garden will work with the 12 clients at the residences and provide fresh food to students.

This is the third year the Community Training Residences has run the project, but the first year they are working with people at the Prince Albert Grand Council’s Healing Lodge. It is also the first year the plants were all donated by John’s Garden and Gift Centre.
