Timberland Bowbenders Focusses on Junior Development

May 25, 2011 | 11:39 AM

Our JOP program is designed to recognize young archers for their achievements and give

encouragement for improvements. It gives them goals to strive for and rewards for achievement.

There is no cost to SAA members and it is open to anyone 21 years of age as of December 31st

of the current year, and younger.

A membership person is available in October to those wishing to sign up to join the Timberland

Bowbenders Archery Club.

On Saturday's from 1:OOpm to 4:00pm, the time is devoted strictly for JOP shooters. Here

coaches are available to help your child develop their skills as they progress towards their goals.

Parents are encouraged to stay to observe the lessons and help out with some of the duties.

Some duties are to help with the scoring (making sure the kids are scoring properly and calling the

arrows properly), manage the light system and of course to encourage the children as they shoot.

Each participant will receive a club uniform which consists of a t-shirt at no additional cost.

They are expected to wear it to all competitions with a pair of blue pants, blue jeans are fine.

A schedule of the years program will be handed out at the beginning of the year outlining what to

expect throughout the year.

We need parental involvement in order for our club to run smoothly. We will be needing help

when we hold our archery shoots, Fita, Field as well as 3D throughout the year. We have a

phoning committee chairperson that will call to help fill these voids.

If you can help out in any of these areas please feel free to talk to the phoning committee chairperson.

Yours truly,

Coaching Staff of the Timberland BowBenders
