The Paws for Hope garage sale at the Prince Albert Exhibition grounds last week brought in a pretty penny.

Debbie Lehner, manager of the Prince Albert SPCA, said they generated about $18,000.

Lehner said the opening day, Thursday, was by far their biggest day in terms of revenue, but right up until the close on Saturday they were busy.

“The event, as usual, was really an exciting event,” she said.

The money raised is targeted towards the day-to-day operations of the SPCA. Lehner said the majority of the money will go towards the spay/neuter program for all of the shelter dogs.
