Nearly $68,000 raised for La Ronge library

The Rawlco Radio “Build a Library Day” all-day radio marathon has wrapped up.

In 11 hours, a total of $67,760 was raised for the the La Ronge library.

“Today was one of the most amazing days I think that I've been apart of in La Ronge. To come together to put $67,000 on the books is just miraculous to me,” said Brandi Bell councilor and chair of the library board.

This money gives us a huge step forward to make our building state of the art, Bell said.

The money is going to stock the expanding library with books and computers. The town of La Ronge funded $1.2 million for the 5,500 square foot expansion
