PACI Found a Creative Way to Raise Money for Relay for Life

May 18, 2011 | 3:32 PM

Today at lunch the Prince Albert Collegiate Institute’s Relay for Life team raised over $1400 with its Free From the Pole Event.

This year the good sport that agreed to be taped was 99FMs own Trevor Gowan. He sported a black PACI shirt to go along with his excellent sense of humor while taped to the pole on the corner of 22nd and Central Avenue.

In a well organized and safe manner the students and staff leaders of the Relay for Life team were able to garner loose change and small bills from many generous motorists.

Every $ counts in the battle against cancer and the Collegiate cancer fighters are committed to the cause.
