Sexual assault charges laid in Leoville

A Leoville, Sask. man will return to a North Battleford court room next month on charges of sexual assault and drug possession and trafficking.

RCMP arrested Norbert Dumais, 56, on Thursday after they received two separate reports about possible drug trafficking in the town, north of Spiritwood.

Dumais appeared in court today on charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, sexual assault, uttering threats and breach of a court undertaking.

The RCMP said they can’t discuss the details of the case, only to say the victims are females.

Dumais is being held in custody pending his next court appearance on June 1 in North Battleford.
