A day in the park

Today was the kickoff for Kinsmen Skateboard/BMX Park.

The City of Prince Albert along with the Prince Albert Skateboard and BMX Association put on “A Day at the Park.” The event started with cleaning up the skate park and then riders took to their boards and bikes.

There was a barbeque on site.

Adam Balon, president of the Prince Albert Skateboard and BMX Association, said the park has been around since the fall of 2006 and was needed in the city.

There will be lessons this summer again, but Balon said along with the regular two hour lessons, they plan to offer a full-day lesson every month,
