Featuring Men’s & Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, and Trampoline & Tumbling

THE HOST:
Prince Albert Aerials Gymnastics Club
The Prince Albert Aerials Gymnastics Club is home to over 700 athletes who participate in competitive or recreational programs. Prince Albert has hosted Provincial Championships in 1991, 1995, 1999, 2002 and most recently in 2009.

This year’s championships will mark the first time in Saskatchewan’s history that all four gymnastics disciplines will be competed under one roof simultaneously.

The Event
Gymnastics Saskatchewan proudly hosts an annual event to determine Provincial Champions in all provincial competitive categories. Over 300 athletes, coaches and officials take part in competitive gymnastics yearly, and the top qualifiers will come together in Regina to compete for the right to be considered the best in their sport in Saskatchewan.

This is a premier gymnastics event for Provincial Level athletes, and is a stage in preparation for National Level athletes who will represent the province at Canadian Championships.
The 2011 Provincial Gymnastics Championships will feature four disciplines of gymnastics: men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics, trampoline & tumbling, and rhythmic gymnastics.

History
Gymnastics Saskatchewan has been awarding provincial champions in Men’s and Women’s gymnastics since 1978. James Rozon was an 8x provincial champion en route to an Olympic Team journey at the Los Angeles Games.
