Top Prize Winners for Search for the Stars

Over 500 enthusiastic fans cheered on the 21 young performers (18 acts) who performed at Search for the Stars 2011 at the E. A. Rawlinson Centre tonight (May 6).

NOVICE STAR- Kara Petit (vocalist) who received a trophy plus a cash prize of $100
JUNIOR STAR: Wyatt Bernier (violinist) who received a trophy plus a cash prize of $500
SENIOR STAR: Jasmine McGuin (vocal and piano) who received a trophy plus a cash prize of $1000
SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR: Erika Rybinski from Kinistino who received a cash prize of $500. Erika also won the opportunity to make a professional recording of her song ($2000 value)

Judges Sheldon Corbett, Eileen Laverty and Kelly Duncalfe-Baker (all from Saskatoon) were very impressed with the quality of the performances.
