Harpauer disappointed with teachers’ strike
Teachers are set to walk off the job for a day Thursday.
The provincial government insists it can't, and won't try to stop them.
“We’re disappointed in the decision the Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation has made,” said Donna Harpauer, minister of education.
She said she believes the province has made a good offer and is frustrated teachers are calling a one-day strike instead of going back to bargaining.
