Eight months later, still no suspects in Regina’s triple homicide

It's a gruesome, tragic and mysterious story of triple murder in north Regina that is still without a resolution.

“Every week we are garnering more information,” said Police Chief Troy Hagen at the board of police commissioners meeting on Wednesday morning.

Gray Nay Htoo, his wife Maw Maw and their three-year-old son, Seven June Htoo, originally from Burma, were found dead inside a townhouse on Oakview Drive in north Regina last August.

Eight months later, Hagen says there are still no suspects and no arrests have been made. All this despite an announcement in December that the police were watching two people.

“That hasn't changed, but obviously we haven't limited our scope of our investigation to one, two or more individuals,” Hagen said.

Hagen insists there's been no new information to indicate the public is at any risk, but police remain on alert. They continue to devote the same number of resources to the case as they have in the past.

“Until this person is held into account, certainly public safety is a concern of ours and we continue to work the file very vigourously,” Hagen said.
