The report outlining the results of the recent consultations re: homelessness in PA and the summary of research on homelessness will be coming out soon.
3. Presentation -Fawn Nielsen -Fawn talked about her work in producing books that can be used to address issues that confront children and youth. These issues may involve drug use/gang affiliation/violence that children and youth experience and witness in the home due to parents/caregivers being involved in these activities. The stories are told through various characters including a family of birds. There are training sessions available for teachers, caregivers, etc to take if they want to use the resources. Fawn is working with teams in Saskatoon and Prince Albert to develop and reveiw more stories and resources. Please see the website: hearmyheartbooks.ca. Thanks Fawn, for your presentation.
