Annette Henbid enjoyed art throughout high school and continued taking classes in a variety of mediums after graduating in Saskatoon.

Time spent at a family cabin in the Shell Lake region created an appreciation for northern landscapes. After a short time in Toronto she moved back to Saskatchewan and finally to Prince Albert in 1990.

Her first introduction to watercolours was in 2001 and it has since been her favourite medium.
She is a founding member of a casual group of painters called Studio 1010. She joined the Kyla Art Group in 2001. In March 2010, she was voted to serve as a board member of the Mann Art Gallery.
