Sask. twins take on Mantracker

Apr 24, 2011 | 10:58 AM

Tonight's episode of Mantracker will feature a first — Saskatchewan prey.

Saskatoon-based twins Aimee and Jennifer Roberge took on the Mantracker last June at Crowsnest Pass in Southern Alberta, and the results will be aired tonight.

“There’s been a lot of hype about it. My mom from Moose Jaw has been telling a lot of people and it’s been a crazy ride and one of those things you can kick off of a bucket list. And it was a great time. It was ton of fun,” Aimee said.

She said there was no sibling rivalry during the filming – they were too concerned with the Mantracker chasing them.

“The show itself is how people kind of react under pressure and what decisions you might make, so you really have to keep your calm and have a plan.”

The team did not have much time to get ready. Aimee said the time before they left was a whirlwind.

“From the day that we send the application video in to the day that we got the phone call asking if we still wanted to be on the show it was two weeks and then three weeks after that initial phone call, we were on a plane to Calgary.”

So where are they going to watch the show?

“We’re actually from Moose Jaw. We are going to head down there for Easter and watch it with some family there.”

The episode airs tonight at 7 p.m. on OLN.
