Man charged in alleged ATM theft

Police have released the name of the man who allegedly stole an ATM machine earlier this week.
James Joseph Chaisson, 21, of Saskatoon is charged with theft over $5,000, break and enter, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
The charges stem from an incident on Wednesday when Chaisson allegedly forcibly removed the ATM from the Cash Store on Second Avenue West.
Police pursued a stolen vehicle in a high speed chase onto Highway 11. When the vehicle tried to escape into a ditch near Duck Lake it got stuck in about three feet of water.
