Skills Canada victories

Prince Albert students were quite a group of competitors at the Skills Canada Saskatchewan event last week.

More than 350 students from around the province covered on Moose Jaw to test their skills in everything from robotics to hairstyling to the culinary arts.

Now, of those young adults, 16 participants from Prince Albert came home as medal winners in their competition.

Four of the 16 took home a gold medal for their efforts and will now move on to the national competition held this June in Quebec.

Keenan Brockman from Carlton earned a bronze medal in Architectural Technology and Design
Jesse Dombowsky from Carlton earned a silver medal in Architectural Technology and Design
Justin Yungwirth from Carlton earned a silver medal in Carpentry
Taylor Johnson from Carlton earned a bronze in Cooking
Brennan Sayer from Carlton earned gold in Electrical Wiring
Jesse Saunderson from Carlton earned a silver medal in Electrical Wiring
Daniel Metheral from SIAST Woodland earned a gold medal in Electrical Wiring
Danie Reusser from SIAST Woodland earned a gold medal in Electrical Wiring
Mitch Baska from SIAST earned a bronze medal in Electrical Wiring
Janelle Kubica from Carlton earned a gold medal in Job Skills Demonstration
Mark Henbid from Carlton earned a silver medal in Mechanical CADD
Conner Scott from Carlton earned a silver medal in Mechanical CADD
Matthew Fowler from Carlton earned a silver medal in Outdoor Power and Recreation Equipment
Daniel Hebblewaite from Carlton earned a silver medal in Precision Machining
