Bomb threat reported at Regina steel mill

Apr 8, 2011 | 12:04 PM

Workers were evacuated Friday morning from the Evraz Steel Mill in Regina's north end. Marshal Hamilton with Evraz confirmed the threat.

He believed the threat was actually called into 911, and police then alerted the company just before 6 a.m. Friday. More than 300 employees quickly left the building. By 10a.m, most had gone home.

“Right now we have supervisors doing sweeps of the building to see if there's anything out of the ordinary,” Hamilton said.
