The run for the 2011 Credit Union Cup will be continue in La Ronge for game five, Friday night.

The playoffs are tied up at two games apiece, following the Ice Wolves 4-3 loss in overtime to the Yorkton Terriers, Wednesday night.

Despite the setback, Bob Beatty, La Ronge head coach, said he was happy the way his team challenged the Terriers in every aspect of the game.

“We played a really solid game tonight,” he said.

“It stings, but we'll be hungry for Friday, that's for sure.”

With the two teams exchanging back-to-back wins through the first four games of the series and two of those games requiring extra time to determine a winner, Beatty wasn't the least bit shocked that overtime has been necessary in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's championship final.

“We're prepared for the possibility (of going into OT).”

In game three, the Ice Wolves' Travis Eggum scored the winner only 22 seconds in. In game four, Wednesday night, Yorkton Terriers' Jeremy Boyer scored the winning goal less than two minutes in.

“Obviously, both games were big,” said Beatty.

“We fought through a lot of adversity here.”

The SJHL final is now down to a best-of-two series that will require at least six games to complete.

On Wednesday night at Yorkton's Farrell Agencies Arena, the Terriers opened the scoring like they did in their game two win.

Robbie Ciolfi scored his first of two on the night from Clark Breitkreuz and Craig Eisenhut only 50 seconds into the game.

La Ronge drew even when Marc Andre Carre tallied at 10:18 on the man advantage as Nick Keller and Dayton Fossum set him up.

Logan Herauf drew an eruption from Ice Wolves fans in attendance when he got the go-ahead marker at 15:40 from Fossum and Byron Sorenson.

However, Yorkton's Jeremy Boyer evened the score at 2-2 with his sixth goal of the post season from Justin Buzzeo and Brant Remenda at the 17:08 mark of the first period.

Yorkton's Ciolfi put the Terriers up 3-2 in what was the lone goal of the second period, from Kurtis Decker and Blaine Tendler, however La Ronge's Nolan Souchette assured that for the second night in a row, Yorkton and La Ronge would need to take the show into overtime, when he scored midway through the third, when he converted on a pass from Nathan Boyer.

However, Yorkton's Boyer would ensure that the series would head back to La Ronge even at 2-2 when he scored the overtime winner only 1:59 in. Buzzeo drew the lone assist.

Game five is set for Friday night at the Mel Heglund Arena in La Ronge. Game six goes back to Yorkton, Sunday afternoon for a rare 6 p.m., puck drop.
