Volunteers are magic

There were 217 people recognized for their service in the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region and Mont St. Joseph Care Home, Monday night.

Ann Ogenchuk, was given an award for 50 years of service — the next longest was 35 years.

Officials in charge of the event said it was one of the biggest ever with 91 people receiving a five-year award.

The theme for this year was Volunteers work magic and they brought in local magician Roger Boucher to help entertain.
