Outbreak at Melfort hospital

Visiting hours at the Melfort Hospital are being restricted due to a viral outbreak.

In the last 24 hours, five patients have showed symptoms similar to those associated with Norovirus.

As a result, the Kelsey Trail Health Region is restricting visitors to the hospital until further notice. The exception will only be people who are visiting patients that are extremely ill.

Precautions have been put in place at the hospital to help contain and minimize the spread of the virus.
