Muskoday holds election

Muskoday Band members have elected a new chief and council.

Austin Bear remains Chief of the First Nation, while three incumbents retained their seats on the five person council.

Bear beat out Everette Bear and Clarence Crain by grabbing 59 per cent of the 519 votes cast.

There was a 20 person race for council.

Herman Crain, Eric Bear and Eldon Crain retained their seats, while Ernie Dreaver and Merle Crain are the new faces joining the band council for the next three years.
