What Is the Money Used For – Children’s Haven

Mar 26, 2011 | 2:07 PM

The Children's Haven with Power99 FM have just completed another Radio Marathon earning the Haven more than $108,000 to use for the next year.

It sounds like a lot of money – but any family knows how tight a budget can be, especially with increasing household and grocery bills. Feeding a family of two is an undertaking – but the Haven feeds and shelters many more than two children a day – every day.

From our website at www.pachildrenshaven.ca – here are a list of services offered at Children's Haven.

The Children's Haven offers many services for children, parents, and families. We typically provide service to 1142 individual children, with an average of 12 children per day. Services are geared to achieving the following goals and objectives:

1. Children being in safe, stable, and healthy environment
2. Empowering parents to make better decisions for themselves and their families.
3. Parents gaining skills to be a better parent
4. Less children going into foster care
5. Less recidivism
6. Long term positive results with our families
