Mar 25, 2011 | 10:46 AM

The Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration (AEEI) is seeking proposals to deliver Adult Basic Education – Essential Skills for the Workplace (ABE-ESWP) programs for the 2011-12 fiscal year.

The programs will focus on low-literacy Levels One and Two learners, First Nations/Métis learners and the unemployed.

This will be an opportunity for low skill job seekers to acquire the essential skills required to work in local businesses and to assist employers in their need to hire and retain workers.

The Ministry will provide up to $100,000 per program. Any community-based organization, First Nation, Community School, or post-secondary institution may submit proposals, however funding for any approved project will be directed to a publicly funded post-secondary institution in Saskatchewan.
