Aboriginal Youth Idea Challenge

  • Are you an Aboriginal Saskatchewan resident between the ages of 16 and 35 years old?
  • Committed to complete a business plan and see it put into place?

Do you…

  • Have a business idea that you want to turn into reality?
  • Already have a business but you want to expand or reach a new audience?

About the Aboriginal Youth Idea Challenge

There are 2 phases to this idea challenge…

> Phase 1: Idea Generation and (optional) Executive Summary

Participants will come up with an idea for a new business (or expanding an existing one he or she owns) and submit a one-page overview(optional) of the plan by March 10, 2011. Our team of evaluators will provide participants with feedback on their executive summaries which they can use to create their full business plan. REGISTER NOW with the online form.

> Phase 2: Business Plan Competition

Participants will submit a full business plan for their idea by April 29, 2011. The top plans, as judged by our sponsors, will win their authors cash prizes to help turn those ideas into real businesses.*

Final round and gala is on May 21, 2011.

To assist participants in preparing their business plans, there will be several free seminars on topics related to entrepreneurship offered in early 2011. We will contact you by email about these seminars. And also see our resources link for a list of resources to help you with your idea and business plan.

* Winners of cash prizes must provide proof of age, Aboriginal ancestry, and Saskatchewan residency.
