Start the week laughing

The recognized Canadian comedian, Derek Edwards is making his last prairie tour stop in Prince Albert on Monday.

The My Blunderful Life tour is a “comedic look back at observations made then versus what I see now,” Edwards said.

Edwards is a veteran of the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, the only Canadian to win the Vail, Colo. Invitational Comedies Competition and a Gemini nominated performer.

Prince Albert is one of only three stops in Saskatchewan, including Regina and Saskatoon. Edwards said the Prince Albert show should be really bizarre because he has nothing to lose.

“Prince Albert is like the last show – no holds barred – it should be much more insane then the previous two and a half, three weeks of shows.”

Edwards called his show “observational comedy” and said he usually tries to find out something about the community he’s performing in, the province and what’s going on in the world so people know he’s not just reading from a script for his 90 minute show.

“I imagine there will be a little chatting back and forth and you know for all it might be fairly polished by the time I get there, but I’ll probably be breaking a few rules and interrupting myself. It should be a great deal of fun.”

Derek Edwards will be performing at the Rawlinson Centre Monday night at 8 p.m.
