Two women killed near Glaslyn ruled a murder-suicide

Glaslyn RCMP say two women found dead at their residence near the town, was a murder-suicide.

On March 6, Mounties were called to a rural home after a man expressed concern about the well-being of a family member.

“Our members attended and located the bodies of two adult females. The two females resided in this residence. Both of them were deceased,” said Sgt. Paul Dawson.

The body of a 51-year-old was found outside the house and a 56-year-old inside.

After their investigation, Mounties say one woman killed the other, then took her own life.

Despite the murder, the names of the women are not being released at the families' request. Dawson says because no charges are being laid, there's no need for it to be public information.

Glaslyn is about 70 km north of North Battleford.
