A big donation from a Saskatchewan company to the relief effort in Japan.

Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan has donated $1 million to the Canadian Red Cross' Japan Earthquake/Asia-Pacific Tsunami fund.

“We've been watching with very heavy hearts and a lot of concern with what is happening over in Japan. As soon as we saw the news last Friday, we know we wanted to do something and do something in a very substantial fashion,” said Bill Johnson with PCS.

The organization will also be matching its employees' donations for the relief dollar-for-dollar through PotashCorp's Employee Matching Gift program.
