Last person sentenced in St Louis home invasion
The last of seven people charged with beating and robbing a St Louis senior in the middle of the night has learned her fate.
Mellissa Ashley Gamble received 3.5 years in prison for her role in the July farm house invasion. She was charged with break-and-enter, assault causing bodily harm and robbery.
Helen Doderai, 71, was awakened in the middle of the night by the intruders, who bound her using an electrical cord, beat and robbed her.
The attackers then cut her phone line and disabled her car to prevent her from going for help.
However, the resourceful senior eventually got loose and found help by driving a garden tractor to a nearby farm.
