Prince Albert KidSport™ Memo – Effective Immediately

Prince Albert KidSport™ would like to note a recent change in the current KidSport™ application.

Please recycle and replace any previous Prince Albert KidSport™ applications with the updated 2011 application.

If you require a copy of the new application, please call 953-1623 ext. 3 & a new application can be faxed, emailed or mailed to you .

The major change is an increase in support from $300 per year/per child to $750 per year/per child.

This change will enable KidSport™ to support more seasons of sport for many participants and/or respond positively to increasing costs of sport participation.

Also, effective immediately, the Prince Albert KidSport™ Committee will adjudicate funds six times per year on the second Tuesday of the following months: February, April, June, September, October & December. The next Adjudication meeting will be held Apr. 5, 2011, therefore applications should be submitted one week in advance.

The P.A. KidSport™ Committee is also requesting that future endorsements for sport organizations be referred to: a school teacher, principal or community school worker; a professional in health / social work / family services; a family lawyer; a law enforcement officer; a member of the clergy as noted in the applications.

Endorsements made by a club administrator or coach are seen as a conflict of interest and therefore applicants/ endorsers not adhering to this requirement will no longer be approved.
