Pink Shirt Day – Bullying Prevention from Canadian Red Cross

Pink Shirt Day 2011- Wear the shirt. Be the difference.

Pink Shirt Day is an engaging way to get students thinking about bullying and what they can do to creat a safe and respectful environment in their school.  This initiative started in 2007 when 2 boys in Nova Scotia took a stand against bullying by wearing pink shirts to support a classmate who had been bullied because he had worn a pink shirt to school.

Now communities across the country and right here in Saskatchewan take a stand and wear pink shirts on April 13th.  Get your community involved on this day, or anytime that works for your school or business.  For more information, contact your local Red Cross RespectED Coordinator, or contact Jen Pederson at (306) 668-0711.
