Sled dog teams near the finish

Aaron Peck, Gerry Walker and Stefaan DeMarie are the first sled dog teams to cross the finish line in La Ronge as part of the 14th annual Canadian Challenge.
Eleven of the 12-dog teams began the race from downtown Prince Albert Tuesday afternoon.
As of noon Friday, four teams were still out on the race course, while four had been scratched. Tanja Tabel was the winner of the eight dog race after the other three competitors dropped out.
