Another cold winter morning

People woke up to another frosty morning in Prince Albert.

A wind-chill warning is still in effect for the Prince Albert – Shellbrook – Spiritwood – Duck Lake regions with wind chills of -40 C to -50 C.

According to Environment Canada cold temperatures in the -30 C range with winds of 15 to 20 km/h are produce the extreme wind chill values. Winds will continue to vary and wind chill values will fluctuate, but are expected to remain near or below -40 C for the rest of the morning.

At these extreme wind chill values frostbite on exposed skin may occur in less than 10 minutes.
A high of -8 C is expected for Saturday and sun and cold temperatures are lined up for the rest of the weekend.
